Mid-Term Up

I just read my last blog entry from back before the semester started... wow, was I naieve.

To update you all, I received A's in both of my summer courses. Bring my average to 7.5 out of 9. A B+ average. Not to bad, I think I need 7.6 for "Cum Laude" status... We'll see.

I do have the worst math course in the whole world, which I can already tell is going to bring my marks down. If not fail me, forcing me to take another course in the winter term.

I am still looking forward to finishing school, and starting the next phase of my life. Roughly 6 months away...

A lot of things changed for me since my August post... and wow, have they ever.

My brother's Wedding was a very important event for my outlook on life. I don't want to delve too deeply into the emotional/spiritual change I received down in Tennessee for that week, but it was big.

I miss my family. A lot, I wish I could see them more often, But we do what we have to do, and where we have to do it.

I have never been so busy in my life, as I have been this semester. I am very proud of myself, and my ability to multitask and stay above the work load (or just on the surface). I know I couldn't do it alone though, I have been blessed with a lot of help, and I very greatful.

Taking on 6 courses, 10 hours a work of week, 2 T.A'ing positions, and 2 volunteer jobs for my college (Sport & Rec, and macmedia) have taken up all my time, and then some! I don't get a full 8 hours of sleep each night which really sucks, and some weeks I don't make it to the gym at all, (this week for example) which really weights on me.

I find the gym a release of all the stress of the day(s) which when I can't get out and be active, I turn to the drink! (not in an alcoholic sort of way) I just have one while I flip on some sports and mellow out.

It feels weird to say "flip on some sports". I've never really been a big sports fan, sure I jump into the World Cup, or Super bowl, or Stanley cup, when things get interesting. But since the semester started, i've been really into the sports, especially College football.

Now every week I look forward to the games on saturday!

Anyways.. back to what i was talking about..

since i've been so busy with everything, I havn't really sat down to assess my current situation, which is both a good and bad thing...

Ah well, thats a conversation for another blog entry (which, will probably happen in a few months! HAH!)

Alright, i've procrastinated enough, time to study hard.

Mid Monday blogging.

Well here I am. I rarely update this blog, or any of my blogs for that matter (yes I have many...). I hope that with the coming school year, I will change all of this.
The summer semester was a lot busier then I had expected. I am glad that I was able to keep busy, watching the days just fly by. Don't get me wrong, I love the summer, I love sitting out in the sun at the beach, breathing in the fresh air off the lake/sea/ocean. I love not having essays, assignments, tests and exams to write. But in 8 months, I won't have any of those awful things to write anymore making me a very very happy individual. This is my main reason for wanting to speed up the earths revolution, who is with me?

I just want to start the next stage of my life, the post-undergraduate stage. Which is a mere 8 months away (approx. 240 days), unless something stupid happens and I fail out of my fourth year... In that case, I'll probably graduate with just a simple BA, and do night courses to get my honours. That would suck, but I do want my honours no matter what. Not that they will really help me since all of my college friends have fair paid I.T. jobs and without a university degree let alone an honours degree. It's just one of those pride things that I have. I blame my overly proud Irish family. Both my brother and sister received University honors degrees and to keep the family education level going, I must do the same! I don't feel stressed to achieve the same education level as my siblings, my parents have always been extremely understanding with us, telling us to "follow our dreams" and do something we love to do. Hence why my parents have been supporting my brothers dream of acting on Broadway (one day big brother... One day). Basically it's just an inner goal I am attempting to attain (and I am very close with an A- average!).

anyway.. Enough about school, I'm sick of school and would rather not talk about it anymore.

that's probably why I can't stop looking forward to the future. I just want it to come now.

I can foresee many a blog in the future about what I will be doing after school, so I will do my best not to go on about that now, although I'm really feeling the urge to let out all the thoughts I have in my head, and all the open doors I have available right now.

Having dual citizenship from a country that is trying to establish continental unity and pursuing a career in an ever growing field opens such a variety of options for you. Right now, im trying to sues them all out, to figure out what is best for me.

Anywho...
This is not an update about my future, this is an update about what I am up too...

Basically, I just finished summer school. It was a lot of work especially with working full time as well, but I think I did pretty good, I guess we'll see what marks I get whenever they come out.

I am currently on my "summer vacation" although I am still working full time until friday, when frosh week starts.
Its going to be a lot of fun, I am looking forward to it, I'm sure I'll have lots of stories to post when its done, but we'll see!

that's all I have for now, I have to actually do some work now

bye.

Friday night

So i came home on friday, and i was really craving an egg salad sandwich..

Ok, but seriously, i came home friday from my work party at 3.
I cleaned the windows in my room because they were really dirty, then I cleaned up my room a little bit.

Then I went downstairs to make some dinner, but i really wanted to have a sandwich, so I spent the next 20 - 25 mins cutting tomatoes, cucumbers, scallions, cleaning lettuce... I made a pretty wicked awesome sandwich. I then decided to make a nice drink to go with my sandwich, I made a jug of mohjitos! took some leaves off my mint plant, chopped up a lime, added lime juice, fresca.

Anywho.. so now im enjoying my lovely creation, and its only fitting that I watch 40 year old virgin.

This is my friday night! And I actually enjoy it.
Tomorrow im going to watch the footie matches downtown! yeah.

Done!

Finally done my exams!
It was a brutal finish. Stats destroyed me. I don't really understand why the math exams are so much hard then any other exams. I do the assignments and I get great marks and understand the material, but when it comes to the exams, I don't understand the questions, even with my TWO PAGES of cheat sheets that we are allowed use. Crazy.

Oh well, its over, its finished! Now I have a week off to relax, DRINK, pack, and organize my summer.

Next week I have alot to do.
Monday: Eye Appointment to get Contacts. Glasses hurt me. Rent van for move out day
Tuesday: say bye to my lady :(. work.
Wednesday: Pack and work.
Thursday: Get van, move myself and 4 other friends into their summer places. Get furniture, alcohol (THIS IS KEY) and groceries.
Friday: Bring back van.
Saturday: work
Sunday: LAST DAY OFF!
Monday: start school again...

Its a hard knock life i guess ;) hehe.

this summer I have alot of things I want to get done:
- Work out 5 times a week.
- Work on my Portfolio for after school
- make a video game (or at least do something cool like that)
- have fun with my roomies this summer
- GO TO THE FRICKEN CN TOWER!!!
- Find another job.
- Write an amazing speech for my brothers wedding, amongst other things I need to do for this
- enjoy my self.

I am looking forward to next year, as I usually do look forward to the future. So many hopes and dreams to be realized, as well as some failures to work through.

... failures.. .. I hope the CURVE passes me in STATS.

Thats all for now.
I'll come back when i hve some more free time..

I love Jack Black.

why?

http://spoken-for.org/archives/2006/03/22/1485/

this is why!

The last thing I need is another blog!

Since I have a myspace, a livejournal, a facebook, a bebo, a nerdy blog and 2 of my own websites, the last thing I need is a blog.

But here we are...

Why did I do this? Because I can, and because I like blogger.
